The Do's and Don’ts By Scottsdale Sunless mobile spray tans

Preparing for your mobile spray tan is the most important part of the spray tan process. Please review Scottsdale Sunless spray tanning Tips below to learn how to properly prepare for your spray tan! 

• DO EXFOLIATE & SHAVE 48 HOURS BEFORE YOUR SPRAY TAN. Your skin needs 8 hours minimum to heal after exfoliating and shaving.
• DO EXFOLIATE with an exfoliating scrub, such as our Norvell Renewing Sunless Scrub, or an exfoliating mitt to remove the dead skin cells and old spray tan from your skin. 
• DO NOT WASH with bar soaps, avoid oil based products or in-shower moisturisers. These products may act as a barrier against your skin and can prevent the fast acting tanning agents to develop. Add salt or sugar to your body wash if you need an in home scrub to exfoliate with.
• DO HAVE CLEAN, DRY SKIN before you have your spray tan. 
• DO NOT WEAR PERFUMES, DEODORANTS, LOTIONS, OR MAKE-UP.   
• DO WEAR YOUR BATHING SUIT or disposable underwear, or have it done naked to avoid any tan lines. Our technicians are professional and do their best to make you feel as safe and relaxed as possible during your session. Men must wear underwear or boxers for their spray tan.  We recommend a dark swimsuit or an old one you wouldn't mind getting discolored.   
• DO DITCH THE BRA, WATCH, SOCKS, JEWELRY, AND TENNIS SHOES or anything tight fitting. Pull your hair up and off your face and neck.     
• DO PROVIDE ENOUGH ROOM for the pop-up tent and our spray tan machine. The dimensions are appox. 7ft x5ft and we must have access to two electrical outlets for our machine and extraction fan. A bright room is ideal so you can see how the colour looks as its being applied.
• DO HAVE DARK, LOOSE CLOTHING to lounge in and sleep in the evening of your spray tan. Some solutions can discolor white materials such as satin or silk.   
• DO WEAR PROTECTION for your hair, your nose, and eyes.  
• DO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS given to you by your tan technician. Make sure to rinse off your solution in warm, not hot water.  Make you wait until the time frame given to you by your technician. Our rapid solution can be rinsed off in as little as an hour. Your solution will continue to develop for the next 12 -24 hours even after you've showered.  
• DO LET YOURSELF AIR DRY or gently pat yourself dry with a towel after rinsing your solution off.  DO NOT RUB because this will cause your tan to fade unevenly and look unnatural.
• DO NOT SWEAT OR EXERCISE! Avoid any activities that will call you to perspire while your spray tan is developing.     
• DO ASK QUESTIONS before your session begins. He/she will guide you on how to position yourself to achieve optimal results.
